Crackscape is an ongoing public art project that reimagines cracks in the urban environment as sites for care, repair, and quiet intervention.
Small ceramic inlays are placed into fractures in pavements and walls, transforming damage into moments of unexpected beauty.
The project incorporates public walks, participatory mapping, and workshops, inviting communities to reconsider their relationship with the built environment. The inlays are hand-made from stoneware, often textured or glazed to respond to their specific site.
By repairing the overlooked, Crackscape proposes an alternative urban narrative: one where fragility and repair become part of a city’s evolving fabric.
